GRAND CANYON
Rim to Rim

Rim to Rim is an extraordinary feat by any standards. You’ll start your morning bright and early in the crisp cold of the North Rim trail only to descend seven miles to the bottom of the canyon where you’ll traverse over multiple streams and rivers. We’ll pass the famous Phantom Ranch where we’ll stop for a much-needed cold beverage before heading on to the real challenge of the day: a 5500 foot climb out of the canyon to the bustle of the South Rim. Home again! And you just joined the ranks of thousands of hardcore tough-minded achievers!

Rim to Rim is a bucket list for many. If not now, when?????

Itinerary

September 10

Day 01

Arrival

Fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) by noon PST. You will be driven to your hotel on the South Rim. Here, we’ll have a team dinner and reorganize and pack for the North Rim journey.

September 11

Day 02

North Rim Travel Day

Take 8 AM shuttle to North Rim. The shuttle ride takes approximately 4-5 hours of travel with a few stops along the way. We’ll settle into our cabins on the North Rim with plenty of time to walk the rim and take pictures. We’ll grab a team dinner at the North Rim dining hall fairly early and head to bed with plenty of time for sleep before our early wake up call.

September 12

Day 03

Rim to Rim Hike

Early rise at 3-4am, to prepare ourselves to make our way to the North Kaibab trailhead. We will descend on the trail for roughly 7 miles, using our headlamps initially as it will be dark at our start. Once at the bottom, we’ll undulate across bridges and follow the trail to Phantom Ranch, which we’ll hit typically before noon. Here, we’ll grab a cold drink before more rolling hiking. Around mile 19-20, we start our climb on the Bright Angel trail, up and out of the canyon. Our goal is to beat sundown! Once on top of the South Rim and back in civilization, we’ll have a celebratory team dinner to reward ourselves for this incredible feat!
